FAQs

STUDIO POLICIES & LOCATION

What are your studio policies?

Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes early & silence cell phones, as a courtesy to others and not interrupt a class in session

Please avoid jewelry, bronzers, and self tanners which can damage and/or stain the equipment

We recommend tying back long hair to keep it from getting tangled or pulled by the reformer springs

Avoid perfume, scented lotions and sprays due to sensitivities of others

Food is not permitted in the studio, but drinks with a tight-fitting lid are acceptable

Do you have parking, and where are you located?

Parking is free and there is plenty of it! We have a huge parking lot beside the building.

We are located 200 Country Club Dr SW Suite D3, Blacksburg, VA 24060. We are in BUILDING D. Look for our logo on the brick building, and you won’t miss us.

Classes

How long are your classes?

Every Pulse Pilates class is 50-minutes long.
Please remember to arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can settle in and decompress.

Which class is best for beginners?

Start with Focus Reformer to enhance your reformer skills, BEFORE booking into any Empower Reformer class, or specialty classes including Circuit or Jump. We recommend prior reformer experience and at least 5 focus classes to learn the equipment and build confidence. This is for your safety and enjoyment!

What should I bring?

Grip socks are required for your safety. If you do not have a pair, they are available in the studio for purchase.

Do you provide exercise modifications?

We do provide modifications based on your fitness level, but do not substitute with a completely different exercise. It is important to us that you, as well as everyone else, get the most out of their 50 minutes, which is why we have policy around injuries. If you require a completely different exercise from the rest of class (for example, you can’t lunge), then we will recommend our private session options to you.

What do I wear?

We recommend wearing leggings, tees, and tanks to allow your coach to see your form and correct it easier. If you choose to wear loose-fitting shorts, knee-length is best with full coverage spandex underneath. Grip socks are also required for your safety.

What is your cancellation policy?

All private and group class sessions have a 24-hour cancellation window prior to the class start time. This allows others, who may be on a waitlist, to join.

When do my group classes expire?

Class packages expire 90 days from the date of purchase.

Must I book into each class?

Yes, you must book so your coach can plan ahead and offer you modifications throughout the class. Our classes do fill up, so booking early will ensure you get a spot. Remember to cancel within 24-hours so anyone on the waitlist can join, if you are unable to make it.

How do I book in-studio classes?

Once you create an account, you can book through our website by going to the menu at the upper right corner and clicking “login”, which will take you to our booking system; OR you can download our Pulse Pilates & Strength.
